Absolutely NO. Not only that:

Even if someone steals your notebook, your Flash disk or Rewritable CD, they will not be able to reach your files. They will stay secure and totally invisible. Don't worry.

No way! Only you can uninstall Instant Lock with your password.

You can start Instant Lock with a CTRL+L key combination whenever you want.

- Can I lock folders in USB or Network devices ?

Yes, with Instant Lock full version you can password protect Rewritable CD/DVDs, network drives and Flash memory devices (Digital Cameras, Memory Sticks) too.

- Can I lock folders in rewritable CDs too ?

If you register, Yes. Every CD writer software has a packet writing option to emulate HDDs. So, you can use your rewritable CDs just like your hard disk. Please, check your CD writer software for this standard feature. (For example, Nero has an In-CD add-on option ).

- Application(s) does not start after execution?

If you have XP sp2 or later then:
Right Click My Computer>Properties>Advanced> Performance>Settings>Data Execution Prevention. Click "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select" Click Add and browse for executable(s).
Restart your Pc to activate new settings. If you still can't execute application exit all other programs including antivirus applications and retry or request customer support.

- "Error in unlock module" or "permission denied" error

Your Windows NTFS settings might be wrong. Your current Windows registry or NTFS settings does not allow your user to access. First you must be an administrator. Second your user and system user should have full access rights to all your NTFS disks and all registry keys. Use regedit.exe Permissions for registry and for NTFS disks: drive properties security tab to give these necessary access rights. Also Vista users should select XP compatibility mode from i-lock.exe's properties.

- Run-time error '430': Class does not support Automation or does not support expected interface ?

You don't have a required file named scrrun.dll. Save this dll to Yourwindrive:\yourwindowsdir\system32\ and execute this command start menu>run> regsvr32 scrrun.dll

- I had a system, harddisk, etc.. failure OR some crucial system folders deleted. And I can't find my locked folders.
What can I try to do other than returning to backups?

These are very rare situations but sometimes system crashs, etc... happens. While installing application you agreed to take proper backups of your own files. By not taking periodical backups of your precious files you are taking full responsibility according to EULA.

You can try to restore your exact file structure in a new and unused disk partition. You need a high quality file recovery software to do so. We can't recommend a special product, you must search in google and try them yourself. You should ask further questions to this software's support team.

- Is there a maximum limit for folder location, size or amount?

You can lock any folder you want. Except some system folders like, windows, recycle bin etc... Folder size, contents, location does not matter for instant Lock. Evaluation version has a virtual limit ( 5 folders at max. ) to encourage registration.
